This one was all about the fans. We paid tribute to those of you who might be listening in Gaithersburg, MD. We brought back music to the Nick And Joe Show...in a very special way. We even spoke with a young man named Gavin who claims to be our biggest fan. As usual, a good time was had by all. This is the second to last episode of 2006. We're doing one more HUGE episode in December and then taking a little break to re-tool the show for 2007. So sit back, relax and enjoy...episode 14! This show can be broken up into two parts. In the first part we welcomed (back) an original member of the podcast version of "The Nick and Joe Show." Frank, the young man we named the studio after decided to return after an eight month journey that took him to different states and different states of mind. We catch up with Frank in part one, in part two we dissect the horrible TV effect known as "The Laugh Track." In this age of television where shows like Arrested Development, The Office and Curb Your Enthusiasm recieve so much critical acclaim it makes no sense for shows like 20 Good Years to be aired. The laugh track stinks and no one, especially 30 year old canned laughter, should tell us when we should laugh at something. We'll laugh if it's funny. We tested the laugh track on a horribly written pilot to see if it made the crappy dialouge funnier. Tune in for the results. It's been a while since our last show and we had half the crew for episode 12. Ray is on a HUGE fall tour and Mike D. was taking care of some business downtown (or so we thought...) Nick and Joe lead off the show with a new segment that came from a plug they had planned on doing. After learning of a new podcast that was plugging N&J, the boys decided it was time to introduce other parts of the country to their mostly New York audience. So instead of just returning the favor by plugging the show, they plugged the entire town that the show is recorded in. After that Nick and Joe opened up the N&J Vault and aired a never before heard clip of the long lost member of the N&J Crew, Frank. The end of the show? Well...you'll just have to listen. Wow. That's all we can say. If Marconi knew that in 2006 radio would come to this he would have invented something else. The Nick And Joe Show conducted a wild experiment in episode 11. After a quick five minute intro where they welcomed back Ray, the boys did a power half hour with some cold brew and (after the brew ran out) a two year old can of Busch Light and a questionable bottle of red wine. The whole show is in real time so you (over 21) listeners can play along at home. But please, if you do, BE RESPONSIBLE! There were some topics for the show, but honestly, does it really matter? This episode is a true train wreck yet instant classic. "You know who" even dropped by at the end for a surprise visit. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language. Listener discretion is advised. With Deirdre back in the studio, Mike D lead off with a bizarre analysis of the differences between the NBA and WNBA. Once order was restored the gang discussed the recent Emmy awards. The show ended with a very special surprise. A certain stand-up comedian made his return to the N&J Show to promote a new comedy/musical album he is developing. It was wild. You really don't want to miss the last segment of this episode. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language; listener discretion is advised. The Nick And Joe Show. copyright 2006.

A wild episode. After two years off the air Deirdre, a producer and cast member of the 2004 Baltimore version of "The Nick And Joe Show," made her long awaited return. She brought with her, Tony, her roommate and old friend of the show. Mad Libs was the theme of the show and naturally it got out of control. Deirdre voted on the best Mad Lib, but to be honest, they were all winners. Nick brought a new friend into the studio named Rahgneesh, a "businessman." The crew talked to Rahgneesh about his "business." Episode 9 was a show for the ages. "The Nick And Joe Show" contains adult language. Listener discretion is advided. Ray's brother Mark aka "Marco Porno" was in the studio and MC-ing the "Useless Information Championship." The boys were asked 3 questions about TV or movies of the past 20 years. The two with the most correct answers went on to the finals. It was a sick finish. Who won? Well...you're going to have to listen to the show to find out. There was also some general BS talked about on the show and Marco gave some cryptic shout-outs to his peeps in da hood. We apologize for the sound quality this week, we were checking out the acoustics in the larger (better air-conditioned) studio. The Nick And Joe Show, copyrighted 2006. Nick and Joe thought it was time to bring some new talent into the world of podcasting. They called on an old friend, Dan, a DJ from Rhode Island who currently resides in NYC. Dan appeared on the final episode of the Baltimore version of the "The Nick And Joe Show" and once had his own show in high school. Not only is he a master of the mixer but he also has an impressive library of bizarre stories. On this mini-pilot of "The Dan Show" Dan tells a story of his experiences at a "Smoker." If you think that Dan should move forward and have his own show please email thenickandjoeshow@gmail.com or message us at myspace.com/thenickandjoeshow and say "WE WANT MORE DAN!" N&J and Mike D and Ray are currently working on episode 8 and we will keep you posted on the show's launch date. "The Dan Show" in conjunction with "The Nick And Joe Show" is copyrighted 2006. Back from a mini-summer break the boys arrived at the studio only to find out that Ray was missing. As a result the winner of the Vulgar Opera Plot Contest was postponed. Nick read some interesting letters from the show's fans. If you would like to write the show and have your letter read on-air, please email thenickandjoeshow@gmail.com. After the mail bag was closed up; Joe, Mike D and Nick welcomed 86 year old stand-up comedian Herschel Stone to the studio. The visit was certainly one the guys will never forget. Mike D. added more fuel to the "Ray-Mike D. Rivalry" fire, Joe took some harsh criticism from a group of "fans" and Nick....well Nick was just Nick. Join the crew for the shortest but certainly one of the most enjoyable Nick And Joe Shows ever recorded. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language. Listener discretion is heavily advised. After several weeks on tour, Ray returned to the Frank Memorial Studio to record Episode 6 of The Nick And Joe Show. The Vulgar Opera had been planned for months but the guys couldn't record it without the opera man himself. Ray, with the help of his brother, brought in some hip hop lyrics that would make Tipper Gore cringe until she cried. He then sang those lyrics opera-style and the rest of team voted on which lyric would make the perfect vulgar opera for the 21st century. At the end of the contest Joe asked the listeners to write a plot for an opera based on the winning lyric. The show ended with a phony phone call from a guy claiming to be a hockey expert from Canada. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language. Listener discretion is heavily advised. Because of the recent syndication to the iTunes Music Store as well as the success of the MySpace page, N&J thought it was time to re-introduce themselves for the new listeners. With Ray still on tour (ends June 11th) and Mike needing a well deserved week off, Nick and Joe played back some of their favorite moments from the past four episodes and gave some of their own creator commentary. We apologize if you experience any probems with the sound file. You may have 20 minutes of dead air at the end of the recording. Please ignore it, the show ends at 40:35. We had some editing issues and we are still trying to correct the problem. Other than that, the show is just fine. So sit back, relax and enjoy some of the best moments of the past 4 episodes with your pals, Nick and Joe. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language, listener discretion is advised. An extended episode!!! With Ray on tour; Nick, Joe and Mike D talked about the TV season that just ended and the new season that will start in the fall. Thanks to TV.com the guys got info on all the new pilots. They talked about a few pilots from each of the six networks. At the show's conclusion they surprised a former cast member from the Baltimore days, Mark The Intern, with a congratulatory phone call. Mark just graduated from college. With the summer movie season kicking off in the first week of May, Nick decided to showcase four films that are expected to be blockbusters this summer. Mike D, through his 'questionable' sources scored an interview with a California weightlifter that claims to be a friend of baseball player Barry Bonds. While his appearance was meant to clear Barry's good name, it all went downhill once Mike welcomed him to the program. Ray promised to speak louder this episode and Joe prayed for any actor who might be the next victim of the Superman curse. All in all, it was a good time. Back from Easter break, the boys finally got their fourth man Ray into the studio and recorded the second of many "Nick and Joe" Shows. After an award-winning intro by Mike D, the cast officially welcomed Ray to the program. After that, Joe read a letter from a fan in need while Nick and Ray wondered if said fan was the diplomatic immunity guy from Lethal Weapon 2. Mike D then made a movie quote game using only baseball movies. As usual, hilarity ensued. The Nick And Joe Show contains adult language. Listener discretion is heavily advised. Meet some of the new cast members and hear N&J talk about the differences between terrestrial radio and podcasting.
